Professional Position Available TITLE: Staff Accountant CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time REPORTS TO: Senior Accountants, Engagement Managers, or Engagement Partners SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN OUR FIRM Staff accountants are closely supervised by senior accountants and partners. Initially, they are given routine accounting and tax assignments. As they gain experience, they are given more difficult assignments and greater responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Reconcile bank accounts. · Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to control accounts. · Analyze accruals. · Perform analytical procedures to financial data. · Prepare depreciation schedules. · Vouch journal entries to supporting documents. · Post adjustments to the working trial balance. · Prepare financial statements. · Possesses or obtain technical efficiency with various computer software programs. These include word processing, spreadsheet, tax, accounting and general ledger programs. OTHER FUNCTIONS
